For Your Consideration: World Soundtrack Awards 2026

It’s that time of year again. Prepare your eyes, ears, inboxes, and mailboxes for a relentless onslaught of “For Your Consideration” materials. Screeners, mailers, billboards, panels, Q&A’s, you name it. Yes, it’s all a bit much.

So…it is with the above fully acknowledged that I humbly ask you to consider League of Legends: For Demacia for this year’s World Soundtrack Awards!

One thing that is fairly unique about the World Soundtrack Awards is that voting is open to the public. Simply go to this website, sign in or create a free MyFGG account, select “Game Music Award”, make your selection, and vote! You can listen to a playlist of selections from the full group of long-listers here…and I must say it’s an honor to be included amongst such heavy hitters from this year’s great offering of game music.

League of Legends For Demacia is a score that I’m extremely proud to have been a part of. I got to lean into a more sacred/liturgical side of my writing that I rarely experiment with. And, I got to do so with an amazing live brass band at Warner Bros here in LA + the incomparable London Voices in London. If that wasn’t enough, I got to do it alongside my composer brother Bill Hemstapat. Bill and I were brought on to the Riot composer team at the same time, and I really feel like this score is the culmination of everything we’ve experienced and learned over the past four years. Thank you to all of the musicians, composers, team members, family, and friends who brought this one to life. An experience I’ll never forget.
